Lincoln Parish Park
This is a wooded park with a 10-mile hiking and mountain bike trail, a lake, and campsites. Visitors enjoy the “beach” on the lake during the summer. There is also a 1.2 mile paved walking trail that runs around the lake. Park entrance is $3 per person.
R.L. Cook Park
This is a great park to take the kids and the dog! There is a walking trail featuring exercise equipment, a covered playground, and a picnic pavilion. The park is located on 2800 Kavanaugh Road.
Huckleberry Trails Park
Huckleberry Trails is 23 acres and is another wooded park with quiet hiking trails. It’s also a great place to bring the children—there’s a nice little playground and shaded areas.The park is located on 2304 Magnolia Ave, right next to Cypress Springs Elementary School.
Roberts Park
Known as “Ruston’s Lost Jewel,” this park offers the best woods for getting lost in. Enjoy a quiet picnic and take in the peaceful environment. The park is located on 1000 E. Mississippi Ave.
Elmore D. Mayfield Park
This is the largest municipal park in Ruston. It features 66 acres of rolling and wooded landscapes. There is a spring-fed lake in the center, plus a playground and sports facilities. The park is located on 1710 Martin L. King Dr.
